Speaker - Ann Brode

Seminar Overview:

Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) continues to be a top priority of the regulators as well as community banks. One major requirement of BSA is to designate a BSA Officer as well as an Assistant BSA Officer and to ensure that they are well trained and qualified to carry out the duties of these important positions.

To assist you in achieving this major requirement and to honor the request of the graduates of the CBAA Basic BSA Officer School, we are pleased to announce the Advanced BSA Officer School. The only Advanced BSA Officer School designed specifically for Alabama Community Bank BSA Officers.

The focus of study is to address topics suggested by BSA officers and to provide updates and/or changes to the BSA laws and regulations.

Seminar Topics:

• BSA Policy - What the examiners expect

• Identifying & Monitoring for BSA

• Mortgage and Loan Fraud

• Electronic Banking, ACH, AML, SAR and Customer Issues

• How to Train on BSA

• Audits and Risk Assessments

• Update and Review of Changes to BSA laws and regulations

• Group Exercises using case studies

• BSA Form Flea Market (don’t forget to bring your favorite BSA form to share with everyone!)

• And much, much more!

After attending this school, participants will leave armed with valuable information, tools, tips and checklists that will help them ensure that their BSA program is designed to comply with BSA regulatory requirements.

Who Should Attend

The BSA Officer School is a cost-effective way to ensure that your BSA program is all it needs to be. Plus, the networking with other BSA officers and industry experts will give you great ideas to add to your present program and it will provide a “bird's eye” view of what to expect at your next BSA exam. This school covers advanced topics and BSA Officers, Compliance Officers, Auditors, Risk Managers and others with BSA responsibilities will all benefit from this informative school.

Also remember, examiners are requiring bank’s internal auditors to attend outside training. This school will fulfill that requirement.
