HOPE Fund
CBAA extends its sympathy to the individuals, families and organizations that suffered losses as a result of Wednesday’s historic tornado outbreak across Alabama. Reports continue to come in concerning the damage and losses suffered within our banking family.
We are announcing this morning the activation of the CBAA Hope Fund, formed in 2004 to exclusively assist bank employees with losses resulting from natural disasters. Specifically, proceeds within the fund are distributed based on immediate needs for food, clothing and temporary housing.
Individual requests for assistance may be made immediately and should be initiated through the respective Chief Executive Officer of the impacted individual’s employing bank. To request assistance, one may contact any member of the CBAA staff at 1.800.239.7338 or by email. Click here for a relief assistance form.
Several families in Alabama have been assisted since the Fund’s inception. We anticipate the forthcoming needs from yesterday’s tragedy to exceed any previous ones.
Banks, Associate Members and individuals willing to contribute to the CBAA Hope Fund are asked to do so. Corporate checks, personal checks and credit cards are accepted. Checks may be made payable the CBAA Hope Fund, and mailed to CBAA, Post Office Box 241166, Montgomery, Alabama 36124.
