Citizens Bank & Trust was established on March 3, 2003.  The bank serves the towns of Guntersville, Albertville, Arab, New Hope, Hazel Green, Oneonta and Rogersville.  The bank currently has more than $210 million in assets.  Citizens Bank & Trust’s holding company, Citizens B&T Holdings, Inc. was formed in July, 2006.

 

Seven of our Directors, Shane R. Wilks, Robert J. Weathers, Scotty Hawk, Robert Hembree Jr., Pat M. Courington, Jr., Joseph J. Chorba, Jr. and Michael W. Alred were Charter Directors.  Randall Ferguson joined the Board in Oct, 2003. 

 

Mike Alred was the bank’s President and Chief Executive Officer and continues that role.  Mr. Alred graduated from Auburn University in 1973 and from The School of Banking of the South in 1983.

 

Mr. Alred was previously employed by Community Bank, SouthTrust Bank of Marshall County and Trust Company of Georgia.

 

Mr. Alred is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Marshall County Health Authority and is a member of Guntersville Rotary Club and Marshall County Leadership Challenge.
